Harlequin shrimps are fully grown at 3 cm. These small crustaceans solely prey on starfish, and will absorb the toxins within their food to use for their defense. In nature, bright colors often warn of poison. Found in pairs, these crustaceans mate for life. Extremely hard to find, these shrimp make for a beautiful, but deadly subject.
